One score. Every market.

UPS is headquartered in Atlanta. The tennis player at the centre of its small-business campaigns was born here. And Atlanta is home to a professional tennis league where three women and three men play for one score. We’d like to talk about where it goes next.

A gender-balanced Professional Team Tennis League

■ Same city

Your headquarters. The world’s biggest tennis city.

UPS runs the world from Sandy Springs. A few miles away, tens of thousands of Atlantans play team tennis every week, in leagues that have been running since 1934. And the city’s only professional tennis season is ours.

1Professional tennis season

Atlanta’s ATP event was retired after 2024. INTENNSE is the city’s professional tennis now.

■ Already in the game

UPS put a tennis player at the centre of its brand. She was born here.

Since 2023 Coco Gauff has fronted UPS’s small-business work: Coco vs. The Doubters in 2024, and Unlocking Potential in 2025, with three small businesses mentored by Emma Grede. Gauff was born in Atlanta in 2004, a few miles from Glenlake Parkway.

“Working with Coco helps us really connect with that younger group.”

And a court that travels

In 2021 UPS became the Laver Cup’s official shipping and logistics provider, moving the event’s black court, trophy and equipment from one host city to the next. Tennis that moves between cities on a schedule is work UPS has already done.

■ The one that’s missing

A tennis star, yes. A tennis team, not yet.

UPS’s sport runs from Augusta to Anfield, and its tennis has been one player at a time. What it doesn’t have is a team: one in its hometown, where three women and three men win or lose together.

Why the format fits

Every INTENNSE team fields three women and three men in the same match, for one team score. A point won by a woman counts exactly what a point won by a man counts, and pay equity between them is unchanged and non-negotiable.

That makes it women’s sport and men’s sport in one product — one broadcast, one ticket, one partnership — and the younger audience UPS reaches through Gauff gets a team to follow, not a fortnight a year.

■ Three businesses, every market

The small-business format you built with Gauff, in every INTENNSE city.

UPS’s Gauff campaigns put three small businesses in front of a mentor and a national audience. A league with a team in every home market can do that every season, in every city it reaches.

■ On the road from 2028

A league that moves.

For its first seasons the whole league lives in Atlanta. From 2028 every team plays at home in its own market, in the arenas those cities already have, and travels to play the rest.

That means a schedule of teams, courts, kit and broadcast equipment moving between cities through the summer, every summer. It is the Laver Cup’s logistics problem, run as a season.

■ Every level

From the neighborhood court to the professional roster.

INTENNSE is the same game at every level, so the route from a Tuesday league to a professional team is one continuous line — and Atlanta has more people on it than anywhere else.

The professional team. A drafted roster of three women and three men, on the same pay terms.

The pipeline. Players move on from INTENNSE teams to programs like Georgia Tech.

Open

The Challenge Series. An open draw whose winners are drafted onto a team coached by a professional.
